It has been awhile since I have posted on here and I will start to update more frequently as the year continues. To bring you up to speed on this year, it hasn’t panned out like I had expected at the beginning of the year but I am confident of where my golf game is today.

Our season began in Colombia and moved to Panama after a week off. Unfortunately I missed the first two cuts by quite a few. I felt good heading into both weeks I just wasn’t able to translate how I felt on the putting green and range onto the course. I was doing a lot of good things, but the combination of not making birdies and making to many mistakes left me on the wrong side of the cut line. We then travelled from Panama to Chile and I must say I didn’t realize how far south/east Santiago was. We were 33 degrees south of the equator and started the week 2hrs ahead of eastern time. Once again I felt good heading into this event, and after sweating it out on friday afternoon I had made the cut on the number. It felt good to finally get a made cut under my belt and I was looking forward to playing on the weekend again! I put two more under par rounds together(70,69), but since everybody was going low I only moved up 6 spots on the weekend and finished in a tie for 47th.

It hasn’t been the start I expected coming into this season. Coming off of last year, playing with the confidence I did, I thought I would be able to come out and play my way in to contention right away. It has been a bit of a rude awakening to the Nationwide Tour but “These guys are good” isn’t just a quote reserved for the PGA Tour. Now that we are stateside I am looking forward to getting myself into the mix. I know that I have the game to compete and win out here, its just a matter of time. Everything about my game has improved through each of the first 3 events and if it continues like that, it will be an exciting year. Hopefully I have all of your support while I am out traveling and living out my dream!

We are in Louisiana this coming week before taking a week off and then heading west to California for 2 events. All tournament info including leaderboards can be found at pgatour.com/h. Be sure to follow me on twitter as well, @ahadwingolf.
