Long-time Partner, BELFOR Property Restoration
To Join Adam Hadwin on the PGA Tour
BELFOR, the worldwide leader in disaster recovery and property restoration, announced that it will once again be partnering with PGA Tour player, Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford BC.
A full-time member on the PGA Tour, Hadwin has had a stellar 2014 campaign, capturing wins at the Web.com Tour’s Chile Classic and Chiquita Classic, and winning the year-end combined money list on the Web.com Tour, which secured Hadwin full status on the PGA Tour for the 2014/2015 season. With four events already under his belt, Hadwin is making the most of his rookie season on the PGA Tour, having placed in the top-10 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas last month.
BELFOR and Hadwin have had a long history together dating back to 2009 when BELFOR first signed on to support Hadwin as he was making the leap to the professional ranks. The financial burden of playing professional golf for a living often becomes a distraction for young golfers, as expenses for travel and tournament entry fees tend to outweigh what players earn from week to week. BELFOR’s support helped eliminate this distraction for Hadwin early in his career.
“When BELFOR stepped up to support me in 2009, I was able to play with a level of security and confidence, knowing that I had the financial support I needed to go out and focus on winning at the professional level, a luxury most young pros do not have,” said Hadwin. “For this reason, I consider BELFOR a special part of my team and a major contributor to my success thus far. I can’t thank Sheldon, Will and the entire BELFOR team enough for the faith they put in me and I’m thrilled that they will be joining me on the PGA Tour.”
The renewed partnership, now in its sixth year, will continue to see the BELFOR logo positioned on Hadwin’s chest. “Adam is a very driven, determined and talented young man who represents many of the core values that we represent corporately and individually,” Will Cook, President of BELFOR Canada said. “We are so incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished in his still very young career, and are equally proud to be associated with him professionally and personally. He represents the future of Canadian golf, and that future is very bright with Adam leading the charge.”
Hadwin rose to considerable acclaim back in 2011 when it looked like he might end the almost sixty-year Canadian victory drought at the RBC Canadian Open. Entering Sunday in second place, one stroke behind the leader, Bo Van Pelt, Hadwin had Canadians on the edge of their seats for most of the day. After falling out of contention early, Hadwin stormed back in dramatic fashion to make it close down the stretch. He would ultimately go on to finish in a tie for fourth, but not before endearing himself to many Canadians and golf fans around the world. His strong finish at the 2011 RBC Canadian Open also secured him his second consecutive Rivermead Trophy, an award recognizing the low-Canadian at the country’s national open.
Adam tees it up this week in the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
