Vancouver, BC – March 18, 2014 – Belfor, the global leader in restoration and damage repair have once again teamed up with Abbotsford, BC resident and Web.com Tour player Adam Hadwin.
Hadwin is off to a hot start in 2014, capturing his first Web.com Tour victory at the Chile Classic in Santiago, with an impressive birdie, birdie finish to win by one over Alistair Presnell. The week prior, Hadwin finished in a tie for eighth at the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship Presented by Claro in Bogota, Colombia. With two wire-to-wire top 10 finishes, Hadwin currently sits third on the Web.com Tour money list. The top 25 on the money list at the end of the season will earn a PGA TOUR card.
When Hadwin turned professional in 2009, Belfor jumped at the opportunity to support not only a British Columbia-based athlete, but a player who represents the Belfor corporate values. One of Hadwin’s first partners, Belfor has been with him since day one of his professional career and has continued its support over the past four years. Overcoming obstacles and limiting distractions is part of being a professional golfer. Throughout his collegiate and amateur career, Hadwin developed a strong mentality and positive attitude that set the foundation for who he is as a player today.
“Adam is an exceptional ambassador for golf in British Columbia and serves as a role model to junior golfers around the country. Belfor is proud to have partnered with Adam for the past five years and we take great pride in being one of his very first supporters. We were impressed with Adam’s drive and determination to make it to the PGA TOUR and felt that his ambitions align well with the goals and values of our company. Adam’s most recent victory is a testament that hard work and determination will pay off,” said William Cook, President of Belfor (Canada) Inc.
In 2011, Hadwin played in five PGA TOUR events making the cut in each, finishing tied for thirty-ninth at the U.S. Open and posting two top-10 finishes, including a tie for fourth at the RBC Canadian Open. Hadwin is a two-time recipient of the Rivermead Trophy as low Canadian at the RBC Canadian Open. Hadwin is also a six-time winner on the Vancouver Golf Tour, two-time winner on PGA TOUR Canada (formerly Canadian Tour) and winner on the Gateway Tour.
“I am extremely excited to continue my partnership with Belfor, as we celebrate a milestone year together. Belfor has always demonstrated tremendous support throughout my career, right from the very beginning when I turned professional back in 2009. With a British Columbia connection, I always feel a piece of home with me on the road every time I look down and see the Belfor logo on my chest. I look forward to working closely with Belfor and sharing the success of our partnership now and in the future,” said Hadwin.
A standout amateur golfer in British Columbia, Hadwin developed his skills at Morgan Creek Golf Course in Surrey, BC. Runner-up at the 2007 and 2008 BC Amateur, Hadwin played his way onto the Golf Canada National Amateur Team and University of Louisville Golf Team.
