With the Web.com Tour on a one-week break, Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, B.C., returned to his home province to compete in the Vancouver Golf Tour’s Chilliwack Men’s Open on the weekend.

He made the trip worthwhile, although not quite as good as it could have been.

Hadwin lost in a playoff to Bryn Parry of North Vancouver, B.C., on the fourth extra hole.

Hadwin got into the playoff by shooting five-under 66 in the second and final round Sunday to tie Parry at seven under overall.

Seann Harlingten of West Vancouver claimed third place, two strokes behind.

Parry, a former Web.com Tour player who was coming off a victory at the PGA of Canada Championship in late June, could have won the tournament outright in regulation but made a costly bogey on the par-three 17th hole.

Hadwin was also coming in hot. He posted his best Web.com Tour result of the year last week: fifth place.
